Beside three made-in-Vietnam horror games (The Death, Blood Field and The Scourge), the newcomer horror game will be The Reed Field.
This is a horror game based on the spiritual practices and beliefs of the people of the southern countryside, as far as we know. Nguyen Quoc Khang (Pulssar), who is the founder of Quasar Art studio, is the programmer behind the game.
We can see some of the aspects likely to emerge in this game in the gameplay introduction and background video provided on the developer's Youtube page. This is the terrifying murky village road with dim street lights and swaying reeds in the wind, as well as some other scenes, such as a dark cemetery with Ms. Dau looking very attractive. The Southwest region's monkey bridge is terrifying.
The Reed Field's gameplay will be up to 7 hours, according to Pulssar. Not only that, but the core gameplay is influenced by the abstraction in the horror game Devotion as well as the fighting mechanics in Home Sweet Home.
Because this is a one-person project, it's tough to avoid flaws in the trailers. Pulssar also stated that the game will continue to evolve, meaning that the gameplay and aesthetics may alter in the future. The Reed Field could be finished by mid-2022 if everything goes well as planned.
